Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a disorder that causes pain and weakness in the hand and wrist. CTS develops from problems in a nerve in the wrist – not the muscles, as some people believe.

Carpal tunnel syndrome develops when the main nerve in the wrist is compressed and compromised, a condition where nerves are squashed or damaged. The median nerve runs from the forearm through the wrist, sending impulses to move the hand and fingers as well as transmitting sensory information back up to the brain.

Some of the carpal first symptoms are light burning, numbness, or itchiness on the hand and fingers, especially the thumb, index, and middle fingers.

Common conditions that can lead to carpal tunnel syndrome include obesity, pregnancy, arthritis, diabetes and trauma. Tendon inflammation resulting from repetitive work, such as uninterrupted typing, can also cause carpal tunnel symptoms.

If diagnosed and treated early, carpal tunnel syndrome can be relieved without surgery. Stretching and strengthening exercises can be very helpful in people whose symptoms have abated.

Surgery may be considered only  if you do not gain relief from nonsurgical treatments.

Gen Spa can help you to relieve and heal your pain with our own technique called Generosa Pressure Pain Point Therapy. No medication, no side-effects, no contra-indication and surgery free!
